Hospitality

Hospitality is a practical way to serve God. It's in the Bible, Genesis 18:3-5, TLB. "Sirs," he said, 'please don’t go any further. Stop awhile and rest here in the shade of this tree while I get water to refresh your feet, and a bite to eat to strengthen you. Do stay awhile before continuing your journey." "All right," they said, "do as you have said."

Accepting hospitality allows others to practice generosity. It's in the Bible, Luke 10:7, TLB. "When you enter a village, don't shift around from home to home, but stay in one place, eating and drinking without question whatever is set before you. And don't hesitate to accept hospitality, for the workman is worthy of his wages!"

Hospitality is a gift that improves with practice. It's in the Bible, Romans 12:13, NIV. "Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality."

By practicing hospitality, we may even be entertaining angels. It's in the Bible, Hebrews 13:2, NIV. "Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it."
